Avi Sharon is Managing Director, Asset Allocation Product Management and Head of Marketing for Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Previously he was Acting Head of Investor Relations. He directs all product management and marketing for AllianceBernstein's Asset Allocation Group, with over $100 billion in assets under management spread across Defined Contribution, Target Date, Education Strategies, Dynamic Allocation, Real Asset and the Private Client fully diversified portfolio. He is also responsible for overseeing all marketing within the private client group, including thought leadership, event strategy and public relations. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Sharon was a product specialist for quantitative investment strategies within the alternative investment group at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Before that he was head of strategic communications and market planning at HSBC Investments. As President of the newly named Portfolio Management Association of Canada (PMAC), Katie Walmsley is responsible for directing the Association's overall business strategy, including federal and provincial advocacy, education, compliance support and other member services. PMAC was founded in 1952 and until 2010, operated as the Investment Counsel Association of Canada (ICAC). PMAC represents 140 of Canada's registered portfolio managers managing in excess of $750 billion in assets. Members span private clients, pensions, insurance, foundations and endowments individual and institutional investors. Before joining the Association in 2006, Ms.Walmsley held several senior leadership positions in both the insurance industry and the association/not-for-profit sector. She served 10 years with Pilot Insurance Company (a subsidiary of Aviva Canada) in a variety of management positions, including Sr. Vice President, Corporate Development with responsibility for Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Communications and e-Business and Sr.Vice President of Human Resources. Her non-profit/association management experience includes two years with the Insurance Institute of Canada as Sr. Director of Western and Atlantic Operations with responsibility for coordinating education and training delivery in eight provinces with local institutes and boards of directors. Ms. Walmsley also spent five years with the Hincks Dellcrest Treatment Centre as Human Resources Director. During her volunteer time, she is President and Co-Founder of Second Kicks, a registered charity that collects and distributes used soccer uniforms and equipment to economically disadvantaged communities in Canada and around the world. She is past Director of the Canadian Capital Markets Association, past Director of Ryerson University's Financial Institutions Advisory Council (FIAC) and Past President of Camp Couchiching. Tony joined Wilmington Trust in 1998 and established the company's New York office, and has served as head of the company's National Wealth Management. Tony has more than three decades of experience in addressing the wealth management needs of prominent individuals, families, and privately held corporations, from inherited wealth to entrepreneurial success. He began his career in financial services in New York with J.P. Morgan, where he held management positions in private banking until taking over the management of the firm's national relationship management team. In that capacity, he oversaw the establishment of J.P. Morgan's offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Palm Beach. Tony also served as founder and managing director of UBS' Private Bank, where he oversaw domestic private banking and the establishment and management of offices in New York, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
